Test-Automation achieves an increase of efficiency in the software testing process by using automation. It is a tool that provides improvement of reusability and reliability of software testing.
Manual testing shows disadvantages like higher error rate (human), difficult and longsome repeatability as well as reusability and bad consistency.

However test cases based on automated testing feature speed, repeatability, consistency and are well documented.

Furthermore automated testing bears the following challenges: Automation of generating test cases as well as evaluating the test results and integration of suitable test tools in the test process.
